I created a paper promotion book for Mohawk Fine Papers on urban exploration. I first started by conducting initial research on printing techniques, book binding, and different types of paper. For this book, I utilized all my own photography and text. I wanted to the book to have a tactile quality to it that would go with the abandoned photographs. I created most of the spreads by hand and then edited them in Adobe Photoshop. I also printed and assembled the book and cover. For each location I visited, I included a brief paragraph about my experiences and thought process of photographing the structure. Throughout my time exploring these places, I want to document the state they are in. I believe that every structure has a story to tell. The target audience is people of all ages. This student project has no affiliation with the brand name and the artwork on display is solely for educational purposes.
