I designed an event identity for Seoul’s 2036 Olympic Bid, centered around a combination mark that blends traditional Korean architecture with modern design elements. The concept draws inspiration from the architecture of Korean temples, specifically referencing the Geumsansa Temple in Seoul, while incorporating geometric shapes to reflect the city's cutting-edge advancements. This fusion symbolizes the harmony between Korea’s rich ancient traditions and its forward-looking, modern culture. The design incorporates the colors blue, yellow, green, red, and black, representing the vibrant spirit of the Olympics. The custom typography is a unique blend of traditional and modern styles, echoing the fusion of Seoul’s history with its contemporary identity. The target audience includes travelers and those interested in the Olympics, capturing both the essence of Seoul’s past and its future aspirations. This student project has no affiliation with the brand name and the artwork on display is solely for educational purposes.
