The book shares the messages written in the essay “Design as Art” by Bruno Munari and the TED Talk “Designers Think Big” by Tim Brown so these messages in each of the texts can interact with one another in a cohesive design. I first started by conducting initial research about book design. These two texts have similar lessons and morals written in different ways. “Designers Think Big” focuses on design thinking today and looking towards future innovations in the design world. “Design as Art” focuses on the different ways design is seen and applied through the different sections of the essay. I wanted to incorporate large typography in some spreads. The large typography emphasized the important phrases and quotes and adds a sense of visual hierarchy that blends the two texts together. The target audience is people of all ages. This student project has no affiliation with the brand name and the artwork on display is solely for educational purposes.
