This book brings together the key messages from Bruno Munari’s essay "Design as Art" and Tim Brown’s TED Talk "Designers Think Big," allowing the insights from each text to interact seamlessly in a cohesive design. My process began with extensive research on book design, aiming to merge the distinct voices and ideas from both sources. While "Designers Think Big" explores the evolving field of design thinking and future innovations, "Design as Art" delves into the various ways design is perceived and applied. To unify these texts visually, I incorporated large typography on select spreads to emphasize key phrases and quotes, creating a clear visual hierarchy. This approach not only highlights important ideas but also merges the two texts into a unified narrative. The design is intended for a broad audience, making the content accessible and engaging for readers of all ages. This project was honored as a winner at the 61st GDUSA Design Awards.
